woman Guidelines to prepare to your documents for visa application

In most cases your visa application to enter Australia will need to be supported by documentary evidence.

Basically your visa application file to be lodged with DIAC will consist of two major integral components:
1. Visa application form (most Australian visa subclasses have a separate form to be filled in);

2. Supporting documentation (evidence) to be attached to the application form;

You have to attach the required supporting evidence upon the application lodgement. The nature and volume of supporting evidence depend on the visa subclass you wish to apply for. Currently there are two ways to apply for visa: via paper application or via e-application (online application). The way to apply for each particular visa is determined by DIAC.

Please, note that even if you apply for an E-Visa (electronic visa) you still may be required to supply paper documents to supply your visa application.

The web site of the Department of Immigration (see www.immi.gov.au) contains the full list of required documents to be attached to visa application for each visa subclass. The relevant details can be viewed in the `Applying for this visa` section or `Application document checklist` section of any particular visa description.

Failure to provide the required supporting documents may result in your visa application to be refused. Generally incomplete applications are significantly delayed in terms of processing time. DIAC is not required to contact you if your application is incomplete.

As a matter of fact there are no set rules or limits as to the volume of supporting documentation you can attach to you visa application.

However, if you wish to enhance the chances of your application to be considered favourably by decision-makers it is within your best interests to supply as much viable and directly relevant to your case information as possible.

You are free to provide any information that you consider may be relevant to your visa application in addition to the compulsory set of details and documents pertaining to the visa subclass you are applying for.

2271505317_d6c50c6101_m If your visa application is lodged with ALL required supporting evidence attached to it (provided the attached documents are prepared in the appropriate format) your application progress will more likely to be hassle-free with processing time being reduced significantly.

You should also be prepared to supply additional information and/or documents AFTER your visa application is lodged in case your DIAC case officer advises you to do so. A request to provide additional information may refer to any detail you provided in the visa application form or any document you attached to it. A request to provide additional information does not necessarily mean that you failed to provide the required supporting evidence in full. It may be simply a matter of supplying the same documents you did before but with fresher dates of issue (eg. bank statements, employment references, etc).

All information you provide for visa application form MUST be true, accurate and up to date. The same applies to the documents you attach to the application. Please, note that provision of false or misleading information as well as of fake or forged documents is a serious offense which will result in your application being certainly refused. Even if you are granted a visa it will be cancelled afterwards as provided by law if the Australian authorities in charge become aware of the facts that you obtained a visa to Australia by providing false information or fake documents.
Please, note that the visa applicant is the only responsible for any information provided in the application.

aussie_thongs-120x120 Do NOT provide original documents unless requested to do so!

You should provide 'certified copies' of original documents (police checks are the exception). 'Certified copies' are copies authorised, or stamped as being true copies of originals, by a person or agency recognised by the law of the country in which you currently reside (eg. Notary Public).

Documents in languages other than English, that you provide with your application MUST be accompanied by an accurate English translation of each of those documents.

The translation MUST be made by a qualified translator. All translation papers MUST have the following:
-        translator stamp in ENGLISH showing his/her full name, position and contact details (address, telephone, email);

-        translator`s signature;

-        date of translation;

-        language of original document the translation into English is made from;

-        translator`s declaration certifying the translation to be true and accurate to the original;

-        if the translator works for a translation bureau or company, the translation must be made on that bureau or company letterhead showing all required details (name, contact details, etc)

Passport details
Your visa is linked to the passport number you used in your application and you must use the same passport to travel to Australia.
